EMDR THERAPY

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy approach designed to help individuals process traumatic experiences, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and deeply rooted emotional patterns.


Many people find that even when they understand things logically, their nervous systems still carry the emotional impact of painful experiences. EMDR works by helping the brain and body reprocess those experiences in a way that allows them to feel less emotionally overwhelming over time.

EMDR intensives are designed for individuals who may benefit from having more uninterrupted time to process trauma, emotions, and deeply rooted experiences without the limitations of a traditional therapy hour.


For some people, it can take time to fully settle into the emotional work before meaningful processing begins. Extended sessions allow more space for deeper exploration, emotional momentum, grounding, and integration without feeling rushed or abruptly cut off.


These sessions may be especially helpful for individuals who:

  • Feel emotionally cut off at the end of standard sessions 
  • Desire a slower, more intentional pace 
  • Are seeking deeper trauma processing 
  • Prefer focused therapeutic work 
  • Have scheduling limitations that make weekly sessions difficult 


Extended sessions are approached collaboratively and intentionally, with careful attention to emotional readiness, nervous system regulation, pacing, and ongoing support.
